Kasargod, Apr 23: A tragic road accident in Kasargod has claimed the lives of three young students and left three others seriously injured. The accident took place on Sunday evening when the car they were traveling in lost control and fell into a roadside pit.

The victims were identified as Sneha Jose, Jisna Mary Joseph, and Adon Besti, all residents of Vellarikandu in Kasargod. They were third-year undergraduate students at Don Bosco College of Angadi Kadav in Kannur. The deceased were on their way to Malayathuri when the accident occurred.

The driver of the vehicle lost control and hit an electric pole before falling into the pit on the roadside. The impact of the accident was so severe that three passengers died on the spot while three others sustained serious injuries.

The injured passengers, including Adon's sister Deona Besti, Sneha's sister Sona Joseph and Sanjo Jose, were immediately taken to a nearby private hospital where they are receiving treatment. Their condition is said to be critical.



The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, especially among the families and friends of the victims. The college authorities have also expressed their condolences and extended their support to the affected families.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter to ascertain the cause of the accident. The incident has once again highlighted the need for better road infrastructure and safe driving practices on the roads.
