Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said on Saturday he has not resigned from his post, but he might do so if certain conditions are met. His statement comes a day after he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss various development projects.

Sources said that Yediyurappa told PM Modi that he is ready to follow all his directions and will even step down from his post only if all his conditions are met. One of these conditions includes a position at the central level for his sons.

"CM Yediyurappa has asked PM Modi to offer his sons a reputable position in the central government. If his demand is accepted, he will step down from his post and follow all directions of PM Modi. He has also told the BJP high command that he is committed to BJP ideology," sources said.

The meeting comes at a time when political circles are abuzz with speculations of Yediyurappa being replaced as the chief minister of Karnataka.

Yediyurappa on Saturday met BJP chief JP Nadda at his residence. After his meeting with Nadda, the Karnataka chief minister said they discussed in detail the development of the party in Karnataka.

"We discussed the development of the party in the state. He asked me to give special emphasis on bringing the BJP back to power in Karnataka. The same was said by the prime minister also. A detailed discussion happened," Yediyurappa told reporters after meeting Nadda. Read More
