BENGALURU: (AVC News) Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa who chaired a high level meeting on Saturday (December 19) at the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru, has officially approved reopening of schools for Class 10 and 12 students from January 1. Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar and the Education Department officials attended the meeting.

In a tweet, the chief minister also gave his approval to resume ‘Vidhyagama’ scheme for Classes 6 to 9 in the state. “The government will analyse the situation after 15 days and then decide to reopen classes for other students.” The schools have been closed since March 24 in view of the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
